Through adoption events, online marketing, social media posts and transports to higher demand locations we find wonderful homes for each pet in need. Others were rescued from various circumstances, abandonment being the most common. In order to continue our work, we charge a fee for adopting an animal. In accordance with Google Safe Browsing and Symantec homeatlastdogrescue.com is pretty a safe domain. Adopters must be ready to pick up their adopted dog as soon as they have been approved. We cannot hold dogs for people who have been approved but are not yet ready to accept the dog into their home.

They have all been spayed or neutered, and are up to date on their shots. A home visit and reference/vet check will be done to determine the best placement of our dogs. You must complete an application, which will help us determine if the dog you are interested in is a good match for you.
Home At Last Dog Rescue's adoption process
All available vet records and the dog’s history will be provided to you upon adoption. The next step is to set up a meet and greet with the dog! Find a dog that is compatible with you, your home and your lifestyle – now and in the future. You may not find the perfect pet for you on your first visit. Don’t get discouraged…it may take some time, but that new pet who is just right for you is out there, and hoping that you don’t give up. Our adoption fees vary on a per animal basis and are listed in the animal descriptions.

For a fee of $25.00, potential adopters can place a 24-hour hold on an animal they wish to adopt. The hold fee is not refundable, but will be applied to the adoption fee of the animal you placed the hold on. Holds are only placed on animals if you have an application on file. A credit card is required for holds placed over the phone. Thank you for your interest in adopting a shelter dog from Home At Last Humane Society. Placing the right animal into the right home is our top priority and we strive to make lasting matches for the animals in our care.
HOME AT LAST PET RESCUE INC
We are not a shelter, and we have no central location for the dogs we rescue. We pull dogs from various shelters and provide foster homes until they are adopted. In doing so, we hope to provide an alternative to the purchase of puppy mill and pet store dogs, thereby reducing the demand for, and ultimately, the supply of, such dogs.
Adoption fees for our dogs vary depending on the age, behaviour and medical needs of the dog. Support Home at Last Dog Rescue by purchasing your 2023 calendar! Check out the top winners from our Calendar Photo Contest as well as some of our dogs that were rescued this past year. Calendars are also available for purchase at some of our meet and greet events. We will endeavor to fight for the abused and abandoned, and foster a community where no companion animal will be killed because it is homeless.
RESCUE & REHABILITATE
Home At Last Dog Rescue was founded in North Wales PA, in 2008 as an all age all dog breed Dog Rescue. Needs to review the security of your connection before proceeding. If things don’t work out between you and your new dog, he or she must be returned to us so that we can find another home.
We provide all the information we have gathered, however we cannot always confirm its veracity. If you are interested in adopting a rescue dog, the first step is to look at our dogs currently available for adoption then complete and submit the AdoptionApplication. We are, currently, a foster based pet rescue that is always looking for the best outcomes for homeless and in-need pets. Whether they were abandoned, neglected or born outside the overwhelming majority can be rehabbed, fostered, loved and placed in a welcoming forever home.

We are a group of dog loving volunteers whose goal is to save the lives of homeless dogs suffering in high-kill shelters, puppymills, as well dogs in other unfortunate circumstances. When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. Most of the dogs and cats presented on our pages have been rescued from the Animal Shelter in Berkeley, California and are now living in temporary foster homes with incredibly caring people.
Make sure you have paid all deposits and fees before you adopt. The entire family should meet the animal before adoption, try to bring all family members. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.
When you adopt from us, you are giving a homeless animal a second chance at love. We value the health and well being of all pets we encounter. With access to affordable veterinarian care, we can get sick dogs and cats on the road to recovery in short order. As a growing rescue group, we are in constant need of volunteers who can assist us in saving dogs.
Have your home set up to accommodate your new pet before it arrives (fences repaired, crate set up, supplies ready, etc.). It will help make the transition smoother for both of you. Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in North Wales, PA. We participate in local Trap Neuter Return programs to help mitigate homeless pet overpopulation.

We kindly ask for your support even if you are unable to adopt at this time. Unfortunately we cannot hold dogs for a future adoption date. Holding an animal in a foster home would mean we'd have less space available for animals that are in life or death situations and need our help. If you are interested in a specific animal that is ready for adoption, you must be prepared to adopt right away. It is sometimes difficult for us to determine the complete history of our dogs. Therefore, we cannot always provide accurate information regarding the medical history, age or breed of a dog.
